FROM THE LAST SEAT IN CLASS TO THE ROAD AHEAD
It started with a broken A/C.
And a promise to do better.
One restaurant owner. One expensive lesson.
A family business built on remembering both.
The bill that changed everything.
When the air conditioning in Tony’s restaurant broke, he called a technician. The repair was a run capacitor. The bill was nearly $1,000. When Tony learned how much he had been overcharged, the frustration stayed with him.
He already had a mechanical background from before immigrating to America. His wife saw what came next: by the following week, she had signed him up for classes at Mt. San Antonio College. He was the last student enrolled.
The last seat. The first step.
That first day in class set a new direction. Tony learned to become his own technician, then turned that skill into a business. In 2001, he and his wife started California Air Power.
Today, at 65, Tony brings more than 30 years of trade experience to the work. The company has grown into a professional fleet serving commercial clients across Southern California. The principle behind it remains personal: treat clients like family.
